WEYLAND-YUTANI CELEBRATES 300TH COLONY MILESTONE

JUNE 12, 2112 | SAN FRANCISCO, CA | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SAN FRANCISCO -- Weyland-Yutani Corporation (NYSE: WEYU) today announced the official commissioning of its 300th colony world, marking a milestone that reflects the Corporation's eight-decade commitment to expanding the frontiers of human civilization. The milestone colony, designated Covenant's Landing on the planet Eridani IV in the Epsilon Eridani system, received its certificate of permanent habitation from the Interstellar Commerce Commission at 0600 UTC.

The achievement places Weyland-Yutani at the center of the greatest expansion of human settlement since the migrations of antiquity. From the first permanent off-world installation on Luna in 2031 to the thriving interstellar network of today, the Corporation has been the primary architect of humanity's presence beyond Earth.

"Three hundred worlds," said CEO Karl Bishop Weyland. "Three hundred communities where human beings are living, working, raising families, and building futures. Every one of them exists because this Corporation had the vision to make it happen and the discipline to see it through."

A HISTORY OF EXPANSION

The Corporation's colonization program has followed a disciplined trajectory since its inception:

2031

First permanent off-world settlement established on Luna (Sea of Tranquility)

2039

First breathable atmosphere created on an extrasolar world (GJ 667Cc)

2048

50th colony established; total off-world population exceeds 500,000

2072

100th colony milestone; colonization pace accelerates to 8 worlds per year

2093

200th colony; off-world population surpasses 12 million

2112

300th colony commissioned; off-world population exceeds 40 million

Today, the Corporation's colony network spans 14 star systems and supports a total off-world population of more than 40 million people. Colony economies contribute an estimated $1.8 trillion annually to interstellar commerce, with the largest installations -- including Thedus, Arcturus Station, and the Zeta Reticuli settlements -- functioning as self-sustaining economic centers.

CONTINUED EXPANSION

Weyland-Yutani has confirmed plans to establish an additional 50 colony installations over the next decade, with a strategic focus on resource-rich systems in the Outer Veil sector. The Corporation is investing $340 billion in next-generation atmospheric processors capable of terraforming candidate worlds 40% faster than current technology allows.

"The 300th colony is a milestone, not a destination," said Dr. Ines Alvarez, President of Colony Operations. "We are building the infrastructure for a civilization that will endure for millennia. Every colony is a foothold, every world a foundation."

A commemorative event will be held at the Corporation's San Francisco headquarters on June 20, 2112, attended by colonial administrators, government officials, and members of the founding families of the earliest off-world settlements.
